During this process, the brief evolved and ended up with around 70,000sqm warehouse incorporating an 11,000sqm racked, fully automated high-bay facility with a ridge height of 35meters. The office footprint evolved too, to finish up at around 1.500sqm.
The site plan included 40meter wide hardstands to both lengths of the building to facilitate almost 80 recessed loading dock points, a gatehouse, a covered pallet store, car parking for 260 cars and 2 x 1 million litre fire services tanks. A siphonic roof drainage system was employed and the office roof housed solar panels to generate enough power for most of the office’s needs.
